Brazil and the Amazon region.

General Characteristics:

In the same family as Australian lacewood, leopardwood is easy to distinguish with a small amount of experience --- it is darker brown in color and is harder and heavier and with a noticibly finer texture.

Uses:

Cabinetry, furniture, flooring, and trim.
